Not many folks will disagree if you make a comment about the amount of change our world has experienced in the last few years. Between warring nations, mass shootings, gas prices and inflation, the first half of 2022 has seen tremendous change and unrest. If the state of the world – or your world itself – has you feeling like social media is just too loud or overwhelming, perhaps it’s time to turn it down!

A few months ago, I decided to do just that – and it was fantastic! Well maybe not fantastic but it was good. There were days that I turned my phone off and didn’t look at it again – and that was pretty fantastic! Most importantly, I found out that when I turned my phone (and social media) off, the world kept turning. Imagine that…the world kept turning regardless of my status online.

To be clear, I didn’t actually think the world would end if I took a break from social media, but I did hesitate over worry about social media posts to my business page. And once again, it turned out there was no need to think twice about that either. So I highly recommend you do as singer Eric Church says, “turn the quiet up, turn the noise down, Let this ol’ world just spin around.”
